Employer Survey Reveals that Soft Skills Remain the Top Hiring Challenge in Peel & Halton
The Peel Halton Workforce Development Group has just released its 6th annual Peel Halton Employer Survey, with an average of 637 employer responses per survey question. The survey included one in ten firms with over 100 employees in the Peel and Halton area. Over 40 community partners helped distribute the electronic survey to their employer e-mail lists. 2016 Peel Halton Employer Survey
The Peel Halton Workforce Development Group (PHWDG) is currently conducting its sixth annual employer opinion survey in Peel and Halton Region. This survey is designed to obtain the employer perspective on local labour market issues. With a target of 500 or more employer responses, this study is an important window into the employment trends and concerns emerging in our region.

PHWDG Launches 2015 Local Labour Market Plan
The Peel Halton Workforce Development Group (PHWDG) is pleased to release our annual Local Labour Market Plan Report. This report draws primarily upon data from Statistics Canada Canadian Business Patterns; Statistics Canada’s National Household Survey; Employment Ontario Aggregate Data for Peel Halton and the 2015 Peel Halton Employer Survey. PHWDG aims to engage a broad spectrum of stakeholders in business, local government, labour, Employment Ontario service providers, educators and others. The 2015 LLMP is the result of an extensive evidence based planning process.
